EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Mariano will demonstrate via zoom how to make a Christamas tree ornament. This project involves fundamental skills that a newer smith can turn into something unique to them. Join in the fun to learn how to make this fun project you are sure to enjoy. This demonstration is Mariano's CBA Instructor Certification demo so please join us to celebrate this milestone. 

Mariano's Bio:

"My name is Mariano Nicolas Garabato and I am from Argentina, since I was 15 years old I began to learn trades related to metal and I began my path as an artisan with jewelry and silversmithing, I began with forging approximately 18 years ago, a trade that I studied together a welder (stick welder, Mig-Mag and Tig), I am an Autocad designer, an electronics technician and I have studied Argentine Creole silversmithing for three and a half years, I have offered forging classes in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Denmark, Germany and Spain. I am interested in the recovery of historical techniques and historical reconstruction, which is why I do some work based on historical findings such as those I did for museums in Denmark. I have received some training in forging from master blacksmiths in Spain on forging in general and Spanish rapier sword"
